About Global Careers
Career fit, college fit, destination fit
Global Careers was founded in Surat in 2000 by Dr. Manish Mittal. We help students and their parents decide what to study and where, and then we help them get there. That covers five things: career counselling, profile building, admission to universities in India, study abroad consulting, and coaching for the SAT, GRE and IELTS.
Since 2000 we have counselled more than 43,500 students, trained more than 11,700 for admission tests and assisted with more than 2,800 student visas. Students guided by us have been admitted to universities including Cornell, Columbia, Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, LSE, LBS, NUS, NTU and SMU, and in India to Ashoka and NIFT. Most of those who went abroad did so with a scholarship.
Our advice starts with the student: what they are suited to, which course and university fit, and whether India or another country makes better sense. All our enrolments to date have come through references from families we have worked with.

What we do
Career Counselling
The Career Fit assessment, results verified in person, sessions with Dr. Manish Mittal and his team, and a written plan. Best started in Class 9.
Profile Building
A year-by-year plan of projects, research, internships and competitions, guided by a mentor, for Classes 8 to 12 and undergraduates.
Study in India
Course choice, a shortlist of universities, advice on which entrance exams to write, and applications to universities such as Ashoka, FLAME, Krea and NMIMS.
Study Abroad Consulting
Country, course and university choice, applications, essays and scholarships for undergraduate and Master’s applicants.

How we work
- The founder is involved. Dr. Manish Mittal and his team verify every student’s results in person, and he writes every report himself.
- The student comes before the destination. We settle what the student should study before we talk about countries or universities.
- The assessment is checked in person. Dr. Manish Mittal and his team verify the Career Fit results with the student, and he writes the report himself.
- India and abroad are compared side by side. If an Indian university is the better choice, we say so.
- We do not promise results. No one can guarantee an admission, a scholarship or a visa, and we do not.
- One office. We work from Surat, in person, and online with students across India and abroad.

- Across India: we work with students in other cities online, on Zoom and Google Meet.
- Worldwide: we have guided students from Dubai, Antwerp, the USA, the UK and Europe, and we place students at universities in India and abroad.
